Partner with us over the next three years and step up to a named annual scholarship for a Washington University student.
How the challenge works
When you make a three-year commitment and a $5,000 gift, the Step Up Challenge will double your gift to $10,000. The challenge—sponsored by Washington University Trustee Larry Thomas, BSBA ’77—will continue to provide matching funds as you increase your annual contribution.
Questions?
You give | Challenge provides | |
---|---|---|
Year one | $5,000 | $5,000 |
Year two | $7,500 | $2,500 |
Year three | $10,000 | $0 |
In appreciation, we will recognize you as a William Greenleaf Eliot Society Patron throughout the three-year term of the challenge. And each year, you will receive an update from your scholarship recipient.
Cost should never stand between a promising student and a WashU education.

“By welcoming talented students regardless of their financial circumstances, WashU becomes a stronger, better institution.”
