Things you can do to help before the big day!

  • Make sure you’re following WashU Alumni on Facebook, Instagram, and X/Twitter
  • Mark that you are “Going” to the WashU Giving Day Facebook event
  • Invite your friends to the Facebook event.
  • Share the Facebook event as a post on your feed.  
  • Change your social media profile pictures and cover photos to those provided below to increase awareness of WashU Giving Day!
  • Add a WashU Giving Day sticker to your Instagram Stories! Click the sticker button and search for #washugivingday.

Posting and tweeting on WashU Giving Day (and Giving Day Eve)

Keep it simple. On Tuesday, April 9, and Wednesday, April 10, share our WashU Alumni Facebook posts on your feed, share our Instagram posts as Stories, and retweet us.

If you’re feeling ambitious — or nostalgic — feel free to create your own posts and tweets. Talk about your time on campus and why your WashU experience still means so much to you. Share vintage photos, post a picture of yourself today wearing WashU gear, or use one of the images provided below. Here are some sample posts, if you need a bit of inspiration.

In all posts and tweets, make sure to:

  • Upload photos and images before pasting the text with URL.
  • Include this link to the WashU Giving Day online giving: giving.wustl.edu/onewashu
  • Tag @WashUalumni.
  • Tag your WashU friends.
