The Washington University Loyalty Society recognizes alumni, current and former School of Medicine residents and fellows, and current students who make a gift of any amount, anywhere within the university, for two or more consecutive years.

“My education exceeded my expectations, and I have many fond memories from my days on campus. My wife, Norma, and I contribute to the university every year to help continue its longstanding legacy of excellence.”

Wallace Klein, AB ’47, MA ’48, 74 years loyal

For many alumni, Loyalty Society membership begins simply by contributing to the Senior Class Gift and then making another gift, of any amount, the year after graduation. Who knows where your WashULoyal path may lead? Whether you are a WashU graduate or a former School of Medicine resident or fellow, you might just end up following in the footsteps of Wallace Klein, AB ’47, MA ’48, the Loyalty Society’s honorary chair. As the university’s longest consecutive donor, Klein has given back to his alma mater every year for 74 years and counting.

Sustained giving from Loyalty Society donors like Wallace Klein and many others provides essential resources for scholarships and fellowships, academic programs, and initiatives across the university. WashU is an extraordinary place to learn because of their annual commitment.

To young people, schools are just names. As a prospective student, it’s important to understand what a university like WashU can offer. And as a WashU donor, you can share your WashU experience with incoming students. Your giving sends a message to others while also benefitting the university and its students. Whatever you can give helps. Alan Goldberg, FAIA, BArch ’54,
Loyalty Society member
