Things you can do to help before the big day!

  • Make sure you’re following WashU Alumni on Facebook, Instagram, and X
  • Share our WashU Alumni social posts leading up to the big day!  
  • Change your social media profile pictures to increase awareness of WashU Giving Day!
  • Think about what parts of your WashU experience would inspire you (and others) to support the university on Giving Day.

Posting and tweeting on WashU Giving Day (and Giving Day Eve)

Keep it simple. On Tuesday, April 8, and Wednesday, April 9, share our WashU Alumni Facebook posts on your feed, share our Instagram posts as Stories, and repost us on X.

If you’re feeling ambitious — or nostalgic — feel free to create your own posts. Talk about your time on campus and why your WashU experience still means so much to you. Share vintage photos, post a picture of yourself today wearing WashU gear, or use one of the images provided below. Here are some sample posts, if you need a bit of inspiration.

In all posts, make sure to:

  • Upload photos and images before pasting the text with URL.
  • Include this link to the WashU Giving Day online giving:
  • Tag @WashUalumni.
  • Tag your WashU friends.
  • Include the hashtag #WashUGivingDay.
